AssureUp Pty Ltd T/A CertBetter (“CertBetter”, “we/us/our”) uses cookies and similar technologies (“Cookies”) to run, secure, and improve our website and app experiences (the Site). What are Cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use related technologies such as localStorage, pixels, and SDKs (together, Cookies) to remember settings, keep sessions secure, measure usage, and improve features.
What we use — and what we don’t
- We use strictly necessary cookies for login, security, fraud prevention, and core site features.
- We use optional analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the product.
- We do not run cross-site behavioural advertising. We use conversion measurement tools (e.g., Meta/Facebook) to track the effectiveness of our own ads. If we introduce behavioural advertising cookies in the future, we’ll update this page and request consent where required.
- Embedded content: Some pages may include third-party embeds (e.g., maps, videos). Those providers may set their own cookies when you interact with the embed. We’ll block non-essential embeds unless you consent (where required).

Note: Specific cookies and their durations may change as we update our technology. We will keep this table reasonably up to date.
Consent and regional compliance
- EU/UK (GDPR/PECR): We only place non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics) with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Australia: We use consent where required and otherwise rely on settings in your browser or our banner.
- US states: We do not “sell” personal information or “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we’ll provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” control.

LocalStorage, pixels, and SDKs
We use browser localStorage for authentication, language preferences, country detection, and referral/affiliate tracking. This data is used solely to operate the Platform and is not shared with third parties. We may also use pixels for conversion measurement and SDKs for performance monitoring. These are treated like cookies for consent and control purposes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal; there is no common standard, so we do not respond to it. Where applicable laws recognise Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, we will honour them for relevant choices (e.g., US “do not sell/share”).
Security of cookies
We apply industry-standard security measures to our cookies. Never share your passwords and sign out from shared devices.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as we add or change vendors and technologies. For material changes (e.g., introducing advertising cookies), we will notify you and, where required, request new consent.
